Privacy Policy
theapk llc collects the minimum data needed to sell you a product and respond to support requests. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except as required to process your purchase (Stripe) or as required by law.
What We Collect
- Email address — required by Stripe to send you a receipt. We also use it to deliver the product and respond to support requests.
- Name — collected by Stripe for the receipt. We don't use it for marketing.
- Billing address & last 4 of card — required by Stripe for payment processing and fraud prevention. We see only the last 4 and the address.
- Support correspondence — emails you send to support@theapk.com are kept so we can serve you better.
- Self-hosted analytics — page views, referrers, and rough geography, collected by a self-hosted Plausible instance at anal.vivaed.com. No cookies. No cross-site tracking. No fingerprinting.
What We Do Not Collect
- No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other third-party tracking.
- No advertising cookies.
- No cross-site behavioral profiles.
Stripe as Data Processor
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We receive the minimum information needed (email, name, last 4 of card, billing address, transaction ID).
Cookies
theapk.com itself does not set cookies. Stripe may set cookies on its checkout pages for fraud prevention — that's Stripe's domain (checkout.stripe.com / buy.stripe.com), not ours. Our self-hosted analytics at anal.vivaed.com is cookieless.
Data Retention
- Stripe transactions: retained by Stripe per their policy (typically 7 years for tax/regulatory reasons).
- Support emails: retained while you're a customer, plus 2 years for reference. You can request earlier deletion.
- Analytics: aggregated, no per-user data retained beyond 24 months.
Your Rights
You can request a copy of all data we hold on you, or request deletion, by emailing support@theapk.com. We respond within 30 days. Minnesota residents have additional rights under Minnesota Government Data Practices Act; we honor equivalent rights for all customers regardless of state.
Children's Privacy
theapk llc products are professional tools. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor's data has been collected, email support@theapk.com and we'll delete it.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Stripe handles all payment data with PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance. We do not store your card number, CVV, or full billing details on our servers.
Changes
We'll update this policy if our practices change. Material changes will be announced via the support@theapk.com mailing list (you can opt out anytime).
